Metropolitan Montessori School 3rd grader, Shane Pottinger, was the first to submit his entry into the UNICEF “Picture Perfect World” greeting card contest sponsored by Pier 1 Imports and Weekly Reader on Mon., March 1, 2004 in New York. Two winning cards will be chosen and reproduced as official UNICEF greeting cards. The contest runs from March 1 through April 11, 2004.
